SRAO

SRAO (Seoul Radio Astronomy Observatory) is located in the campus of Seoul National University, Seoul, Korea (latitude : 37 27' 15" 6846N±0.", longitude : 126 57' 19." 0727E±0." 0002, height : 204.89m±0.02m, sea level : 181.38m±0.17m :WGS84), and its regular observations started from October, 2001.

All the equipments except the antenna structure and driving system were made by SRAO staff. We also made an autocorrelation spectrometer with a maximum band width of 50MHz for the first time in Korea. Software for source tracking, data acquition, and antenna control, were developed based on the Linux OS with popular PCs.

We have three special guest houses for observers, so if you want to observe in SRAO, you can stay freely in here.

The SRAO 6-meter telescope is now fully operational and all these characteristics verify that observations are carried out with high precision and fidelity
